Kaler Mowing & Yard Solutions (operated by Kaler Mowing Limited, "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you request a quote, call, email or message us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your property address or suburb.
- Details of the work you need, and any photos you send us.
- Records of our communications with you and the work we carry out.
When you visit our website, we also collect general information about how you use it, such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location. This is collected through cookies (see below).
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- Schedule and carry out work at your property.
- Send invoices and manage payments.
- Contact you about upcoming visits or changes to your service.
- Improve our website and services.
We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run our business, such as our website and customer database provider (HubSpot), email provider and accounting software.
- Anyone we are required to share it with by law.
Some of these providers store data on servers outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We use reputable providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies from HubSpot and Google to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the cookie banner, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
How we keep it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access is limited to the people who need it to provide our services.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it to provide our services, keep proper business records and meet our legal obligations, including tax record-keeping requirements.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. To make a request, email kalermowing@gmail.com. We will respond within 20 working days.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
